Biden is undeniably following the footsteps of China in the development of a USD CBDC. China banned crypto, followed by the introduction of their own CBDC. Then, citizens were allowed to pay taxes in the digital currency. Finally, crypto is gradually being legalized in China.
President Biden is following China’s playbook. First, the Feds are attacking crypto at every turn. Second, in 2022, Biden issued executive order 14067 for all departments to pursue a CBDC.
If the US continues to adopt the China playbook, the SEC will continue its crackdown on crypto until the Fed can launch a CBDC.
